A guy wants to trade me a set of 35 inch tire on 10 inch out set rims for my stock chevy rims. I have a 95 chevy K1500 with a 3 inch body lift. Would I have to make body alterations, eg shave the bumper?

It would depend on the backspacing. On my truck, I have 35x12.5x15" tires on 10" wide rims with 4.25" backspacing, which gives it a slightly wider stance, it also makes the tires move forward and backward when I turn. I also have the old style spindle wheel bearings, which are very cheap to replace when the leverage from the wheels improper backspacing wears them out too soon (and I can tighten them too). When your wheel bearing go out, you'll have to replace the assembly, which is expensive and a PITA to replace. With less backspacing, you may have to trim the fenders a bit, I went about 3" front and back for the first 5" vertical.

I got one of the wheels today to check it out o my truck. Not exactly sure how the whole backspacing-thing works. I measured a little over four inches from the lug holes to the outside of the rim in the back and 6 inches in the front. So I assume I have 4+ inches of backspace. Also, the rims are 15X10, but the tires are 35 12.50 15's. I put one on the front end and turned turned the steering wheels as far as possible bot ways. I will definately have to trim.
