94 Del Sol

My '94 Del Sol with only 30,000 original miles and all the papers shows a VIN starting with JHM. Was this made in Japan?

Re: 94 Del Sol

As far as I know, all del Sols were built at Honda's Suzuka plant

I may have asked the wrong question. I just wanted to know if the JHM before the vin meant for the japanese market, the european market or the us market, or does it have any significance at all. thanks for the response.

Smile Re: 94 Del Sol

yes, the JHM in the VIN is actually for where the car was made. J is Japan, 1 is USA, 2 is Canada and I think an E is for Europe.
The whole VIN will let you know what the VIN really means. JHM stands for Japanese Honda Motors. The next part will tell you what your chassis code is (JHMEG2 is EG2 chassis which is a delSol)
Any other questions just ask
