Tran Service? Pass/Rodeo/Worth it?
I asked the guys at Jiffy Lube to change my tranny fluid and they wouldnt touch it.. They said when it gets the age and miles (125,000) on it that changing it starts cleaning clutches and causes problems.. So what do I do? Leave it alone and see or change it and see .. I just dont want any trouble.. Any recomendations or pre treatment additives or ANYTHING? They said it has been changed before, its not original like my t belt last week with 125k on it>> LUCK<<

For one, I would NOT be visting a Jiffy Lube period....that's my opinion.
Has the ATF fluid been changed before, and how often?

It can't hurt to drain the 3 1/2 qts that'll come out when you pull the drain plug and refill. If you are having no issues and the fluid has been changed a couple of times before, I'd pull the pan and change the filter and fluid - again, 3 1/2 qts or so. Are you having any issues with the trans at all?

Re: Tran Service? Pass/Rodeo/Worth it?
I have not had any problems with the transmission yet. I had all the diff and crank case lube changed and they said the tranny fluid has been changed before and needed to be done. He said if you change it it would cause problems..? I do have a problem locating how to check the fluid, I cant find a dip stick anywhere?

Stop looking for a dipstick - there isn't one. Search or look in the FAQs for more info.

Re: Tran Service? Pass/Rodeo/Worth it?
I've seen both-change it and don't mess with it at that age. Given it's no problem at 125K, my tendancy would be to leave it alone and at some point expect to put some money into it. Ask a trusted local mechanic who he uses for trans. work and ask that guy.
