WIP: Fujimi 180SX

This is my current project, the Fujimi 180SX. I have built this kit before when I was younger and did a terrible job. I bought this kit cheap on Ebay and didn't plan on working on it this soon but somehow it made it's way onto my bench. I kept the Kouki body style but added styrene under the front bumper and skirts to lengthen them just a bit. I also added a bit on the rear bumper. Also smoothed off the front license plate housing. I lowered the front suspension a tad but did not modify the rear. Also since the brakes were already molded I used pin vice to drill out every hole in each brake. Wheels are Fujimi SSR Star Formula. Exhaust made from solder, and muffler from K&S and antenna. Intercooler is a repop from the Tamiya R33 and is modified a bit with solder. Interior comprises of Aoshima Recaros, Studio27 seatbelt hardware, Aoshima steering wheel, and scratch built gagues using K&S and epoxy.

Body will be Tamiya Metallic Red with a black base coat. I hope to finish this by the beginning of summer, but I will keep you posted.

Thanks for looking.

Looking good, like the bodykit but i dont like those rims! They are way to small. Like the inner rim itself..

That looks really cool. I'm just starting the same model myself. Those seatbelts are well done. where did you learn to make them?

You should check the year the thread was made before you post. The OT might not be around anymore.

Re: WIP: Fujimi 180SX

Looks sweet, nice details on the interior.

Although i would have chosen different wheels as i think they will look weird on it. Also bodywork is coiming out awesome.

Uh, check the dates of the original posts. This thread is quite old.
