check engine light

hey i have a eclipse gs and the light is on i used a obd2 scaner to check it out on the code reads

P1294
Injector High Side Open - Bank 2/Target idle not reached

so if any one can tell me how i can fix it please oh and the car idles all the way to 5000 rpms when you turn it on and wont go down

Code P1294 is for - Target idle not reached. I would check for vac. leaks first. About the only thing that will cause a really high idle like that is if lots of air is getting into the intake mani. So you either have a vac. leak or the TB isin't closing all of the way. One way you can check is to take the intake off the car and put your hand over the TB to block ALL the air going to the motor. The car should cut off since you are blocking all of the air. If it still runs then you have a massive leak someone and you should be able to track it down pretty easily.

thanks for the help i did put my hand in the tb to block the air but it didnt cut off it still revd up high so im guessing i have a leak anywhere you would recomend me checking first
