Undercar Neon Light - Illegal?

Are these undercar neon lights illegal? If the law on this issue is different for different states, is it illegal in New Jersey?

Not only do they violate vehicular municipal laws, they also violate any law of good taste and sensibility.

Contact your local police department or DMV office and inquire as to their legality.

Here they are legal as long as the light bar itself can't be seen, just the glow.

Fucking stupid though.

Not good to know. Actually it's "looked down upon", just review the Community Guidelines for AF, here's an excerpt from them:

To answer your question, Google "(insert state here) lighting laws." It'll take you five minutes to find your answer via your state's DMV.

That said, it's a good bet red and blue are illegal no matter where you are.
