i got me an 86 300zx that doesnt work(DAMN MY COUSIN) . I was wondering how much it would cost to put in a vg30dett ? i know the engine itself is $2500, i think it comes with a trans.

the skyline motor goes for $2300 with the intercoller and piping. the front clip of the rb20det comes with the trans and the ecu? the vg30dett is a drop in for the z31? so which of these would be easier?

thanks for that link to www.unstable-hybrids.com

I think space wise the RB20DET will be easier to work w/

You dont have to hoist the engine out if you needed to access the turbos

Not to mention the fact that it is a super cool, orginal swap (for the US that is)

engine mounts

I always heard there where special engine mounts you need to put the rb20 in cause those are the same mounts needed to get an rb20 into an s30 z car
