oil pressure light

The oil pressure light in my girls SRT came on today and then went off, then it came on again. not sure why it is doing it. any suggestion/ troubleshooting advice?

Check the oil level and filter first. Then check the sending unit to the light.
I would use a test gage and actually check the pressure. A lot of people just install a new unit.
Dodge had a problem with plastic drive gears on the bottom of the distributor going bad. These drive the oil pump. A plugged strainer will also cause this problem.
