1997 GTP 12-disc cd changer problem
My 12-disch cd changer is not working. When I load my CD's, the changer goes through and checks for CD's but it will never play a CD. I'm not getting any error messages on my radio display either. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Is there a reset switch for the system?

try cleaning out the container that the cd's are in. It may be that your cd head lazer is screwed up. if that's the case then the only thang you can do is get another changer. try talking to a local dealership. also...i have a 1999 Lincoln Mark 8. the cd changer in it did the same thang....it was because the door on the chnager itself was not shutting all of the way. check that. it may just need cleaning.

I have a very similar problem. The changer only reads 4 of the 12 discs and even then takes a while to read them and play. Is there any solutions to this problem?
