Alarm Module, Can I do it myself?
Greetings, I'm the happy owner of a brand new 325i sedan. The car didn't come with the alarm module, and I was wondering if it was easy enough for a weekend warrior to put the system in since the car is essentially prewired, or should I pay the shop hour or two to have the BMW Center do it for me?
Thanks, Josh

I'm in the same boat. 323I
Hey, I'd be curious about this too. I actually thought my car came with the alarm, but I was wrong. there's a special at pacific bmw for the module $170, but I too would prefer to do it myself.

hey guys check this
www.bmw330ci.com has a diy section and this project is in there. BMW alarms kinda suck though so I would consider going with Clifford or better yet getting some good insurance for your new child:frog:

This is basically a DIY job - assuming you have the 2-3 hours and basic tools for it. The install instructions that ship with the factory module are pretty comprehensive.
