1987 Ford Thunderbird Question!!!

Does my 1987 Ford Thunderbird have a governor and if so where is it located?
Thanks, oh and also I have a digital spedometer and it maxes out at 85, can I change that and how?

Your car has 120 HP, deal with it.

Max speed is around 100 MPH, and it takes a little while to get there.

To determine speed, change to KPH and do the conversion. Back in the 80s there was that strange law that said something about maxing out at 85. Did it to a Suzuki GS750 motorcyle that would get to 85 in second gear.

Even though the car is slow, I've been happy with mine for the last 306,000 miles.
