I usually launch at around 5 1/2 if your on a grippy surface but it depends on engine mods and engine size really.

Wot engine is in your friends civic if its a 4 speed. We dont get 4spd in the UK

i think a 6 grand launch should be good. but the only way to get it down is to go to the track and practice the different rpm launches and find out which ones best

my left axle is starting to go cause I take turns going pretty fast so that stresses it.

dont forget this is a std 4 speed, which if memory serves me correctly, its only 70hp, so the torque must be really low. 91civicdxdude, your z6 has alot more torque than his engine so you gotta launch lower. is your 3k is that at a track ?
