Exclamation Low trans fluid symptoms

Ok I have a 1995 Grand Caravan with 3.3 ltr motor and 4 spd overdrive Trans.
I recently learned a couple things (Practical Experience) and I wanted to share what I had learned.

When the transmition is just over 1 qt low if I stop hard when I try to go the trans seems to be in neutral and it takes like 10 seconds (if not more) before it goes back in gear

And at 3 qts low it takes a little bit before it will go into gear when I first start off. After that the Trans seems to be stuck in second gear no matter what I do, Reverse acts normal during all this.

After filling the transmition to its proper level (added 3 qts ATF-4) everything went back to working like it was supposed to.

I just wanted to share this information because quite a few posts on this site seem to have similar symptoms and I wanted to this info as a possible place for people to start.
Bottom line Always keep your transmition filled to the proper level with the proper type fluid
