New here, who likes phone gadgets?

I'd like my first post to be helpful to my fellow car enthusiasts/gadget geeks. This forum looks pretty good, I look forward to meeting some of the personalities here

Anywho, I came across this nifty phone application that audibly alerts people of police traffic enforcement called trapster. It uses GPS and all you gotta do when you see a speed trap or chp hang out spot you just hit a button on your phone and it "designates" the spot on the trapster network which everyone can access (its pretty in-depth , lots of neat features) So after its "designated", everyone that has this application will know exactly where all the traffic enforcement hot spots are including red light cameras and speed cameras.

The more people that have it, the better protection we have. It only takes a few active users per town to be 100% effective.

If you use this in conjunction with a radar detector you have some pretty powerful technology to avoid tickets

Its a free app that anyone can download, this is the first one that I've seen like it but if you know of anything else like this please let me know, Im curious to know what is out there.

I hope everyone enjoyed my first post, Im just lookin out for my car brethren

Yah I've seen something like that a while back but haven't seen it anywhere recently, it's called common sense and following the rules of the road. Seriously why do you need protection are you intending to blatently speed and put yourself and everyone around you in danger. Just do the speed limit and obey the rules of the road and vehicle laws in your area and wala no need for gadgets to show you where the cops are that are trying to stop people who are doing what it sounds like you want to do. When I see someone doing stupid stuff like that I call the cops and tell them the entire description and which way they're headed and usually a few miles down the road that person is pulled over getting a ticket. Oh and alot of places radar/laser detectors are actually outlawed and if a cop sees you with one can pull you over for that alone and give you a ticket. So quit trying to get around the law and obey it and the roads will be safer.

Ok, so lets pretend you NEVER speed even a lil bit. Everyone finds themselves going a lil bit over the speed limit every once in a while. and it dosent really take much. Hell, i got popped for going 26 in a 20. Just because you are against something dosent mean you have to be a complete jackass about it. Also, i dont know ehre you are located but Radar detectors arent outlawed here. in, fact iI do alot of traveling, and i know of VERY FEW places they are outlawed.
