How do I set cruise control on a '91 eclipse?

If anyone could please tell me how to set the cruise control on my '91 eclipse I would greatly appreciate it. I just bought this car and either the cruise doesnt work or I just cant figure out how to set it.

Does your CC light come on when you try to engage it ? I would check the fuses and then check the relay down by the cable box for the CC unit itself.

MY guess is though a fuse though. Good luck man.

He doesn't know if he's doing it right or not, if he was doing it right then the light would light up and he wouldn't be asking.

I have a '91, turn the cruise knob counter-clockwise towards you so it turns it on then push in the end of the handle where it says set then it will set the speed, to coast turn the unit clockwise away from you and hold as long as you want to coast and let off when you are at the desired speed.

I replied to the first half of his statement about it not working , not about setting it. So before calling me out like that - read what I put. What because i'm half asian you think i'm stupid or something ?

I don't know the 1G's controls so I wasn't attempting to tell him how to use them.

You automatically assumed that his fuses were blown even though you yourself haven't a clue how to use the cruise control on a 1st gen. I read what you put and I thought it was useless unless his CC is in fact NOT working. Also what does you being half asian have anything to do w/ this? Did I make a racist comment? No I didn't so before you throw that out there maybe you should read what I put instead of trying to use "What because i'm half asian you think i'm stupid or something ?" as a reason for his CC not working.

Hey guys. Stop. No reason to go there like this. No one said anything about being Asian or anything. There were 2 parts to the question, not sure how to set it or if it was working at all. Both parts were answered so we'll see if the original poster comes back with issues or success.
