Re: My clutch pedal has no resistance

Yes the clutch is hydrolic. Check your resivoir to see if there is fluid in it. Then find where the leak is at.

Re: My clutch pedal has no resistance

Brake fluid doesn't freeze, must be water in there or something. I would recommend changing that shit.

Re: My clutch pedal has no resistance

Hmm frozen brake fluid means you need more anti freeze in it...=)

Seems like someone didn't use the right fluid on last fill up. I've been in one of the most extreme places where -60 comes and goes on a whim and never seen brake fluid freeze :/

I would suggest draining , replace the seals ( master / slave ) as the freezing water or whatever was jammed in there may have ruined them. Easy fix shouldn't take more than an hour to do and you should regain pressure. Then again , when I had my tranny built I thought it was weird that the clutch pedal was softer to press in than the gas pedal but I get perfect shifts everytime.

Re: My clutch pedal has no resistance

You need to totally drain out all the fluid. Take the bleeder screw completely out and let everything drain out. Then refill the system with brake fluid and bleed the system.

Re: My clutch pedal has no resistance

When you "bleed" the brake lines, all your doing is removing the air from the system. Like Silver said you need to remove all of the fluid from the system. I would even drain everything out then let some brake run through it just to clean out all of the old crap. Then reinstall the bleeder nipple and top off system then bleed out the air.

BINGO! This is what happened to mine (mine was slave cylinder, but same concept). Call your mechanic.
