Head unit repair

MMMKAY.... So last night i ripped out a AVH-P749dvd complete with i believe the p9007 navi/digi 5.1 tuner. i got the head unit for free... head unit has one problem it will not read cds in the head unit.. the dvd and navi still work fine.. but will not read cds. screen works looks good.

So i am wondering what my options are as for fixing it. Call pioneer and ahve them fix it? try and do it myself? What do you guys think would be my best option?


Thanx in advance for the help. Id really like to fix this since i got the head unit for free...and its like what a 1500 dollar unit?

unless you have equipment and some mad skillz at that kind of repair, I am not sure I would even try it.
