Magnaflow, or Borla is you can spare the cash. Flowmaster and the majority of the rest will sound like a rice rocket. But you'll never sound like a V8, or even close to it. So I hope that's not what you're aiming for.

it would probably help the tone but that's a lot to pay for just sound. I don't recomend taking of the cat btw... that's a hefty fine

Nope.. I've already done all that to my 3.4. Sounds great at low RPM's but once you start approaching 3k+ it gets high pictched and raspy. It'll help with performance more than anything though.

i was thinkn bout straight pipen my 3.4l firebird but im not sure about it? does any know how much better it would make it sound or wuld it b worse then it already is?

i have the same car. put some flowmasters on it, and it'll sound like a v8. its what i did to mine.

oh well, i don't know if i still have the cat on mine or not, it had something else on it but i took em off cause of the noise...and the illegal exhaust ticket i got.
if you want a good sound, try magnaflow or borla. but make sure you got the cash for it, kinda expensive but not too expensive

it sounds good. most of the time it sounds great. but it is ungodly loud, and that quickly becomes unbearable. not to mention it attacts police attention miles off.

if you've got a jack, some axle stands, tool and basic auto knowledge, get under the car and pull the exhaust. (down pipes back) then you can hear it. don't run it too long as the gases are very hot and they will burn stuff.
