Shift Knob
I'm trying to replace the shifter knob on my 1998 S-10 5-speed. I can't figure out how the old on comes off. I don't see a nut or set screw holding it in place nor can I unscrew the knob. Any suggestions?

Re: Shift Knob
I have a '98 5speed. looks to me that the knob is a "permanent" attachment. may need to cut it off. my personal opinion would be to goto a junkyard, find a 5spd S-10 and take that stick and all. mod that one, that way you will have the original one if ever needed.

Hello 16th Hippy,
Thanks for the suggestion. I think that I'll give that a try. Harleydan47 |
