Side Trim

Hey what would be the easiest solution to get rid of that black trim. It's the only black on my car and I don't want it on when I get my kit. The only thing about taking it off is you have that little lip there. Any good ideas on what to do? Thanks, Doug

There is a 4 door teg here at my school that used bondo to shave his side trim and rear door handles, and it is one of the shitties jobs I have ever seen, you can totally tell there used to be something there, it isnt smooth at all.

I have one word to say....sideskirts. That is, to me, the easiest way to get rid of it. For a temp solution you could just paint over them, and no im not talking about crappy paint, do a decent job if you do paint them. Or you could pull them off and weld in a piece, or use fiberglass to fill in the spot.

people tell me all the time to paint mine, and im like fuck that, they dont bother me that much, and I know they are a bitch to get off without messing up your side panels somehow. I see cars rolling around with em off all the time round here (holes and all)

Yes, I agree with you Ali, just get some side skirts and they should get rid of the molding, also depends what sideskirts.

Its really not that hard to take the moldings off without messin up the sides, just gotta have the right tool, not just rip them off. There is a panel removing tool that squeezes clips together, so you can take panels off without messin shit up as much.
