96 PA Climate Control Flashes
My actuator moves when I start the car. If the ac is set, it goes warm for about a minute, then to the cool setting. The climate control screen flashes for about 2 minutes. I opened the glove box and can see the actuator moving. When I set the climate control to warm temperatures, it starts out warm, then the blend door opens, and then it is tepid. In thread 742046 the solution provided has not helped me. Any suggestions?
It is getting cold in Toronto, and I need the heat to be coming out right away. All of this started after the dealer replaced the transmission (right after). I have read threads which stated that not turning the climate control off before unhooking the battery can cause problems for the climate control module. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks. |

Re: 96 PA Climate Control Flashes
steelman 1958 -Try this,(I'ts worked for me on my 95 PA)open up the glove box and disconnect the the blend door shaft.Start the car and turn on your climate control. Let the blend door acctuator go back and forth like it has been doing, when it stops turn your temp control to either all the way cold or all the way to hot, when the blend door acctuator reaches the position you set and stops, hold the blend door into that position(either hot or cold whichever you picked) and reconnect the blend door shaft.Play around with the temp control to see if it moves freely then shut the car off and restart to see if the blinking stopped. The blend door should not go back and forth anymore. Let us know if it worked
