2016 Malibu parking alert

Help!
Recently I parked my car and turned off engine and I got a message on my dash saying “Shift into Park” as it was parked. Lights stayed on and horn beeped like I left the keys in. Tried starting it and putting it back into park and it still says that. I shook the shifter a bit and the message cleared. But I need help. Is this a new recall?

If not a recall, at least a warranty item.

Re: 2016 Malibu parking alert

there are two TSB's out there for this concern......

Could be something as simple as programming...#17-NA-031....DTC's will be set....

With #PIC6244, if all 5 DTC's are present, the transmission has to be replaced.....if only 2 or 3 DTC's are present, normal SI Diagnostics are to be used....

So get to a dealership....
