Re: f20c1 swap

just get the h22... the f20 will be 3 times more expensive and 10x the headache.. as if the h isnt already. Better yet. Get a b16/b18c1, or c5 head and make a b20/vtec and watch your b20 come to life. If you build it a little more youll have just as much power as that h22, youll be alot lighter and faster, and still handle just as well.

Re: f20c1 swap

thanks for your reply. but if you put b16 head on don't you have to put new pistons and rods.plus all the work you have to do to the used head.would it not be cheaper to go h22 and still get more hp

Re: f20c1 swap

Nope, you dont HAVE to do any of that..youll make more power if you go for high compression pistons and do port and polish and cams to the head. But hell make a good amount of power just with the conversion. An h series swap is a pain in the ass that requires the finesse of a shoehorn. Youll be cutting parts of your car apart and its by no means cheap. You can get a head for 250-300 in some cases and then an ls/vtec conversion kit will finish it if thats as far as you want to go.
