Re: oil pressure is at 550

Oil Pressure at 550 or 55 psi? 55 probly... sounds a little high.. most 2.2s and 3.1s operate at about 40 warm.... but 60 - 80 is normal for a cold start. If the reading is actually 550, likely you are reading the tachometer, not the oil pressure gauge.

looking at his profile ,he is Canadian. Canadian vehicles have gauges which are metric . 550 is the high end of the oil pressure gauge .
