Clutch adjustment
Is there a way to adjust the clutch on a '96 jetta,2.0.
Clutch does not engage until pedal is almost all the way up. |

it is a self adjusting clutch....sounds like you better check the cable for kinks....if not, you probably need a new clutch

Clutch is working ok & not slipping. I was hoping I could get it to start to engage sooner than it does as the pedal is released. Since there is no adjustment I will deal with it as it is. |

Jetta4j is probably right about your clutch being worn out. I'd plan to replace it soon.
