trip/odometer flashes FUSE
I have a 2001 that does a weird thing. When I start the car the trip meter which shows the miles alternates between the miles and the word FUSE. It runs fine and everything works normally. It can't find a blown fuse under the hood or at the end of the dash. Anybody have a clue about this??????

Re: trip/odometer flashes FUSE
I have a 2000 model and it does the same thing. I did find a blown fuse under the hood but when I replaced it it did not correct the flashing fuse light.
Boy that's really annoying. |

Re: trip/odometer flashes FUSE
Usually this is the IOD fuse under the hood. This fuse is to save battery power while the car is at the dealer waiting to be sold. There should be a slot on the fuse panel that has IOD - Ignition Off Draw. Replace it. It may not look blown, but I bet it is.

Re: trip/odometer flashes FUSE
I solved it. If the dome light is out (which mine was) or if any of the door light switches (which makes the dome light come on) are bad then the odometer flashes that stupid message. Is that bizarre or what??? what was Dodge thinking??
