99 GP Power Window

Does anyone have a good DIY diagram of the power window workings?

My wife rolled down her driver's window a few inches but could not roll it back up.

It is not caught in any position. It will move up and down manually. The motor will wind the window cable but it will not move the window. I removed the door skin and the cable is still attached to the track. The cable seems to be just strewed about. Should it be in some kind of track?

If the window can move up and down on it's own and fall if not propped up could there be another broken piece somewhere in the track?

Thanks for the help.

I guess the question might be...

Does a good motor hold the window in its up position? And a bad motor allow the window to slide down?

I found this link. Hopefully, it will help others with the same problems.

It appears the regulator is bad.

Re: 99 GP Power Window

Regulator is bad. Pretty common. I'm on my second one in my GTP and this one acts up when it's cold out. Window rolls down but not up. I think it's because of a poor design. The effort required to raise the window is a tad more then the current limiter is set for.
