DROMO ONE TO HOST 12 HOUR ENDURANCE EVENT
Pros and Amateurs Race for Charity

Jan 5th, 2008 (Orange, CA) - Racing is great, but racing for a cause is even better! Next month Dromo One Indoor Karting will host the 1st Annual 12 Hours Of Dromo, a kart racing spectacular benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Orange County and the Inland Empire who grants wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions.

The race is set to begin at the stroke of midnight on Saturday February 2nd, 2008 and competing teams will drive through the night on an event specific indoor/outdoor track configuration sure to test every last bit of stamina and skill. The race will conclude at noon Sunday February 3rd, with the team having completed the most laps being crowned champions.

Several professional race car drivers have teamed up for Make-A-Wish to compete against a sizeable contingent of top indoor kart racers from around the country. The all-star pro team will include such notables as Nascar driver Boris Said, 2007 Drift Champion and X-Games Rally Gold Medalist Tanner Foust, Two-Time Formula Drift Champion Sam Hubinette, 2005 Rolex Series Champion Craig Stanton, 2007 Indy 500 Rookie of the Year and A1GP driver Phil Giebler, Champ Car Atlantic Driver Alan Sciuto, and Grand Am driver Nathan Swartzbaugh. RedBull Formula1 driver Scott Speed has yet to be confirmed; however, fellow RedBull sponsored Renault F3000 driver Colin Fleming will be joining the melee. Every last one of the drivers will be looking to claim the event's inaugural title for their team.

Boris Said, possibly the most widely known driver on the Pro Team with his illustrious career in road racing and now NASCAR, is no stranger to the indoor karting world. When approached to race in the event he simply could not pass up the opportunity to participate in an endurance event featuring gas powered karts for such a worthy cause.

Young up and coming American talent Patrick Long, the Penske Porsche Factory Driver most widely known for his runs at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, as well as his impressive ALMS record has also decided to jump into the mix at the last minute adding yet more star power to the event.

The all-star pro team will also be joined by two amateur drivers, one of whom will have made the team by winning an open qualifying contest being held at the Dromo One indoor kart track January 29th through the 31st. The final spot on the pro team will be given to the winner of an auction being held via ebay.com Jan 18th – Jan 28th.

Dromo 1, home of the most competitive indoor karting in California, is located at 1431 N. Main Street in Orange, CA. More information is available at www.dromo1.com or by calling (714) 744-4779.

Hm, I've been to Dromo countless times... I might be interested. I'll keep an eye on the auction.

Ya you could just create an exhaust system for your intestine! Just have it fill into jug or something! Sure would save you time at your pit stops!

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little. Just imagine and accident.

I go in to get it hooked back up on the 7th anyhow.
