considering purchasing a firebird
I've been thinking about buying a firebird, I found one for 2000 dollars, the current owner says the only issue is that the throttle sticks and the car needs to be driven around a bit to charge the battery. its a 1987, I dont have a whole lot of money and I own one car already, I'd love to own a firebird but I'm wondering if its worth it to buy it if i dont have all that much money, and whether they are hard to maintain and have a lot of things go wrong mechanically.

These cars arn't hard to maintain if you dont mind getting your hands dirty every once in a while. They also have been known to last well over 200K miles. Parts are relatively cheap for these cars too.

But if you don't have the money to fix the problems, then its just going to sit there. So you'll be paying $2K for a nice lawn ornament.
