1988 Chevy k1500 missing/sluggish
Hi. I need some advice. I have a 1988 Chevy K1500 with a 350 and TBI. My truck starts great and idols like a dream. When I try to drive it or get higher RPM the truck tends to miss and backfire if you floor it when it starts to miss. The engine never dies. This causes the truck to shutter. I have tried the following: new plugs, wires, ECM, cap, rotor, oxygen sensor, knock sensor, battery, fuel pump, fuel filter, and ignition module.
Please help as I am running out of money and time.... Thank you in advance. |

Re: 1988 Chevy k1500 missing/sluggish
Check the exhaust backpressure. Sounds like possibly a plugged cat.
