Exclamation Another twist in the new rules!!!!!!

I would think I'm not the only one to think Max Mosley has lost the plot completely!!! Now he says that the teams will have to start the race with whatever fuel they have in the cars after Saturday qualifying!!!

and
http://www.pitpass.com/news2/news.cfm?newsid=4814

I strongly disagree with this decision as it makes the "superpole" format totally useless!!! This is yet another rash idea to artificially spice up the things. :o

I haven't said this previously, but the ARE KILLING F1!!!!!!!!! I am bitterly disapointed. Can't really say more. Screw you FIA the way you screw up my favourite sport. Thanks god MotorsTV will be showin all BTCC events LIVE!

Alex

FIA may be screwing up the sport, but it is so, a certain team does not dominate all the time, and the lower teams have a change, other than seeing how many ppl can crash out

I know already by now, that I'm not, I repeat, NOT, going to get up f...ing early in a couple of weeks, to watch this pathetic circus going bust by a moron called Mosley. I'll watch the result on the internet!

It can't be 2008 soon enough.

AND furthermore, DTM starts on April 27, for 10 rounds and Zandvoort and the Nürburgring are only a couple of hours away. ARD & ZDF (German Television) are covering everything live, so DTM will be the series that I'm going to follow this year. At least Mercedes has a decent chance of winning there.

Crap FIA!

It always has been, and always should be up to other teams to catch up to the dominant team, and FIA shouldn't make races artificially closer or more exciting.

Not sure what you mean, but I can tell you already now. New regulations or not Ferrari will be dominating again this year. It's up to the compettion to beat them and NO regulation whatsoever is going to change that!

well......if they con't the way it is, the car grid will be down to like 12, because the other teams can't catch-up and they forfit.......more exciting is better. watch schumacher and kimi, was good, better than watching schumacher go around by himself. look @ lemans......not that much fun, when audi is 1,2,3 pretty much all the time. you gotta keep the fans, and the fans will not come, to see the cars go around the track by them selves.

You guys getting all the touring car stuff are so damn lucky, here in the States, the only alternative to catching WRC highlights and F1 on occasion is frigging Nascar!!!

By the time Mosley is done, I may be reduced to watching the donut ring specials they call a race in Nascar......

you can also get touring cars in the US, if you have Speed vision, speed channel, you can watch the American Lemans series, which is pretty dull compared to DTM and the like. However, theres SCCA pro racing which is always exciting.

Somebody has to decide whether F1 is to continue as the premier testing ground for new and innovative ideas,or whether the drivers should be in identical cars,on identical tyres, and the whole Grand Prix is just a test of drivers. There are not many sports in the world where the better you are,the more you are penalised, and F1 will not benefit from trying to drag the top teams down to a level where the likes of Minardi can compete.
That said,I would also like to see one of the rules that favours the faster teams changed. One of the reasons that Ferrari gets so far in front is the 'blue flag' rule. Why should the slower vehicles have to surrender track position to those that are trying to lap them?IfSchumaker is the legend that people make him out to be,he should be able to drive his way past.Spectators want to see close racing and lots of passing moves. The Blue flag rule just turns it into a parade for the faster car,and hinders the slower ones.

Wholeheartedly disagree on the second point. If you're a lap down, you have no business interfering with the leaders. It's a scary thought if the leader is made to fight the likes of Alex Yoong. The reason I dislike DC so much (as well as McLaren to a point) is Suzuka 99. He had no business holding up Schumacher when he was chasing Hakkinen. (though I have no objections to the outcome of the 99 championship). This could lead to too many dirty tactics. If you want to find the leader, the proper way is to actually fight for the lead, and not while being lapped.
