Change of Wheels and Tires

I've got an '07 Element EX with the OEM 16" alloy wheels and GY tires that are wearing at 20K.

The plan is to purchase 18". My wheel and tire guy want me to be sure I'll still be happy with the ride quality after the change.

What is your experience in ride quality when going from 16" to 18" wheels and tires on an Element?
