Well Poly did it, why cant I?

After seeing Polys calendar I started thinking... Man it would be nice to have a one for my car. So I did. Check it out guys let me know what you think! My car is Jan. Nothing impressive, but it's great to see my car, in a calendar, on the wall!

www.cafepress.com/bezerk2112

If you want one feel free to order.

Re: Well Poly did it, why cant I?

August-November are pretty much the only months I would care to post up that calender.

Sorry BeZerk...the rest just weren't that appealing to me...

Re: Well Poly did it, why cant I?

Eh... I think I'd have to stab myself in the knee cap with a butter knife if I had that up on my wall. The idea of a calender is cool, but the pictures chosen, to me at least, aren't calendar worthy.

Re: Well Poly did it, why cant I?

I liked August and November. And January assuming January has a hot sister he wants to hook me up with.

Re: Well Poly did it, why cant I?

I know the feeling. I did it for another forum and didn't get much of pictures comming in. I didn't feel that some of them should have been in the calender, but you go with what you got. There was a large responce for them and next year there will be a lot more submission. It will be much higher quality. And yes, my sister is avalible.

Re: Well Poly did it, why cant I?

Out of the most random curiosity...

Anyone up for an AF.com calander? I have a bunch of pictures of ya'lls cars, so that when I need to stalk you down and ki...when I need to look at cool pictures of cars, I have some. I think its a bit late for an '08 calander, but we could do an '09. Its up to you guys, but like I said, I have some shots that you all have put up of your cars that I have saced if you wanna do it.

Good call with that one. It would probably be the better idea that way.

For the first question, if the picture is good, I don't see why it would matter if you had both or more of your cars in it. As for the second, get a professional photographer, or at least someone who has an inkling of what they are doing. That tends to solve color issues.

Re: Well Poly did it, why cant I?

I'd be up for it. I'd also be glad to help in any way. I had a lot of fun making the Turbo Mopar calendar. Now the Turbo Dodge forums want me to make one as well.

We could do a 4x3 or a 16x9 calendar. I think the 16x9 looks better but it does cost a bit more. The stipulations I put down for the Turbo Mopar calendar were this:

5mp camera at maximum resolution minimum
No people
No other cars, like the subject lined up with other cars at a car show. However, I do like people having all their cars grouped together.
Descent background.
No open hoods or doors, just the car.

I think we should do this and I'm willing to donate time and advice. I've done a lot of research about car photography trying to make this last one.

Re: Well Poly did it, why cant I?

I wouldn't mind doing this. However, I believe there should be a new thread started so that people know what is being planned in case the have already glanced at this one only once.
