Need Help! Timing Belt Tensioner Tool Broke Off
The following homemade timing belt tensioner tool broke inside the motor:
http://vfaq.com/mods/timingbeltNOTE1.html It broke off right after the "ears" and the tool is exactly 7 1/16 inches, including the head. Could anyone find out the actual length a battery hold-down? Also, does anyone know if the broken piece will be in the way of the timing belt? Timing looks great, and the car is ready to run, but I'm just worried that the piece left in there will take out the timing belt. Thanks a lot guys. |

Get that piece out before you drive the car. If it comes loose while driving, you can kiss your motor good-bye.
