Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread
Anyone know why the fuse in the engine compartment ERLS keeps blowing and setting off a series of codes P0740, P0753, P0758, P1860, P1665. And Will not let me shift out of park and power is lost if it happens while I am driving? On 1998 Pontiac Grand Am SE. |

Re: keeps blowing ERLS fuse and setting off a series of codes
Welcome to AF.
Sounds like youre having some issues. codes- P0740 - Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Malfuction P0753 - 1-2 shift solenoid circuit P0758 - 2-3 shift solenoid circuit P1665 - Evap emisions control system vent valvecontrol circut P1860 - TCC pulse width mod. solenoid circuit Sounds like either your wiring harness to the trans is unpluged, loose or broken, or your transmsion is needing major repairs.
