car makes screeching noises
Hi, one day all of the sudden
my car ( engine) start to make Loud SCREECHING NOISES especially when i engage 1st gear and start to drive , then after i drive it for a while it stops, till the next time i stop and go again. please tell me what is going on with my car and reverse also..

check your alternator belt, it might be loose. or maybe other belts if you have any more...

I had the same trouble last week. It has something to do with the cold weather but the belt is too loose. All you need to do is tighten the belt. Start by loosening the bolt on the sliding bracket of the alternator. Now you can move the alternator further away from the engine which in turn will tighten the belt.

ok . what is it gonna take on installing a
89 CRX ENGINE WITH 95 CIVIC SI TRANNY to my 1989 Civic CX same as any other d series swap nuthing really special about it rite?

I dont know shit about the 95 trannies but if there the same as the 4g then it will be a real simple install. But while you have the engine out you may as well replace everything possible. Belts, water pump, clutch if needed. Its alot easier to do that stuff with the engine out of the car.

the 95 civic tranny is a hydro tranny, you'll have to convert it to cable to use it.
