Anyone with Prothane mounts...1G

Doing some research before I installed my prothanes, I noticed that the 1G motor mount kit came with just inserts for the front as seen here: http://www.plymouthlaser.com/fmount.htm

My kit came with a one piece solid bushing that would replace all the factory rubber. The part number on the package is "13-505 90-94 motor mount front insert". When I look this up it shows the insert version not the whole one piece bushing. Here is a link to the pic of what I have:

Is this just the alternative of the 2 piece insert? A product update? Or just the wrong item?

If it fits, use it. It's better than the molded inserts that still rely on the stock rubber to be in good shape. Those POSes always fall out too everytime you disassemble that mount.

Re: Anyone with Prothane mounts...1G

I posted this thread on tuners and got confirmation that they updated the front mount to be one full piece. I guess you just have to whip out the grease to get it in. I'm glad I got the updated version cause I didn't want just those POS inserts.

Re: Anyone with Prothane mounts...1G

Just an update for future searches. I got the whole front one in with 2 2x4s, a vice, and grease. i used the 2x4s for even clamping force on both sides of the mount. Keep it as center as possible and the mount will slide right in. Not sure why they didn't make it a 2 piece like the rear.
