Canadian GP!

Friday qualifying just started (Kimi on his warmup lap) and it's wet! Could render some very interesting results.

Schumi was 3.5 seconds up on Kimi at the second split and made a HUGE mistake at the hairpin. His lap ended up being 3.4 seconds quicker!

Red face And now for the race post-mortem

At least we're getting to see some racing this year....

I definitely believe that if had Alonso had actually had a bit more power availble he would have been pushing Ralf if not Michael, he certainly wanted to be higher up.

A good drive by Kimi to bring it from the back of the grid/pit lane and get some points. What is with him though, this isn't the first time he's screwed up the qualifying completely.

DC's engine trouble or 'team orders'
I know team orders are banned, but it conveniently moved Kimi into a better points position by having DC parked in the garage.
I can't help but suspect that Ron called him any for a non-existant problem.....

What do you guys think, the championship is not decided and things look to be hotting up out there.....

Decent race, actually. Although there wasn't much overtaking, the tension was quite high.

I really enjoyed the race, somewhat of a procession as usual but there was some great driving going on. I think Alonso and Kimi are as quick as MS which makes the future look exciting.

Don't know about team orders, but DC's mathmatical possibilities don't look good at this point, it would take a miracle to see a C'ship for him.

I agree with the procession comment as far as the front runners, but there was definitely some passing happening at the back(musta been for Kimi to end up where he did), but the cameras never show whats going on behind.....

Wonder if Williams will figure out how to keep the mirrors on the car and Ferrari the same with the barge boards.....

The Ferrari bargeboard thing happened as a result of Rubens' contact with another car didnt it? The Williams mirror thing is obviously a fault, certainly didnt help them drive any faster

Shume getting back the points lead is hopefully not a sign that Ferrari is going to dominate the rest of the season. If F-1 can keep having closer races like this one, then it could be a great season.

I agree with the lack of passing on the track comments. Passing in the pits is okay, but seeing the

The mirror issues with Williams was funny while the tire issues with Michelin was scary. I would hate to think anyone would get hurt due to defective tires. I am sure Michelin will be working extra hard to prevent those tire issues from happening again. I would hate to be in their post race meetings this week.

The mirror thing turned out to be "funny", nothing important, but it could have easily been different... coming off at the wrong time, hitting the driver in the helmet mid-corner.. v distracting!

Yep I agree with others on the closeness of the racing this season. It was sort of boring last season seeing Micheal dominate the whole season.

Gotta luv that race.
So many weird things were happening....I was quite entertained thru out and if I was 1 of the drivers I would be pissed with some of the stoopid mechanical phiccups such as mirrors falling and dangling all over the place...haha
Kimi with this tyres, hmmm, really consider him lucky to have his tyre come off and just before the pits!
Montoya spinning before the turn.

But as a fan, stuff like this makes it more enjoyable. Unpredictability makes sport an entertaining one.

Sorry guys for my enthusiasm

I am new to F1 and been watching it only since the Brazil circuit this year.

I think the commentaries by Chris and that overzealous Steve Slater, hehe, makes F1 a very enjoyable sport to watch!
