Blister? No way. Perhaps you mean the sidewalls get bubbles in them easily. The P8s I had years ago did that and I've heard that about other Pirellis.

Blistering is when the tread surface gets hot and actually gets a blister between the carcas and the surface of the tread. I've only heard of this happening with racing slicks. Road tires tend to chuck if they over heat, especially a harder tire like the P4000.

I'd pick Falken's or Bridgestone's

Thanks P-Man.

I'm creating a consensus in favor of Bridgestone. By the way what style of Bridgestone would you suggest? I need all season tire leaning on the performance end.

What size are you looking for? and are they for your stock rims or aftermarket rims? If they are for your stock rims, i've heard good things about the falken azenis (sp?) and i believe they come in a 195/60/14 size, pretty cheap too. As for the larger sizes there are a lot more to choose from.

I've got the Yokohama Paradas on my car. The tred looks cool, and it handles pretty well. They grip really well too. But that is just from my experience and my opinion.

no problem. actually, Im thinking about tossing the affinity tires that came with my p11 (195/65/15) which I got about 3,000 miles on and getting some 195/60/15's for the winter season. i just don't like the huge baloon looking profile on the 65's. hehehe.

some of the tires I was thinking about getting are (195/60/15):

Bridgestone RE910 $60 tirerack (but need to check local pricing)
Nitto nt460 $44 americas tire
Dunlop GT qualifier $48 americas tire
Yokohama Avid T4 $47 americas tire

I need to check with the local Firestone store to see how much it would cost them to get the RE910's for me. I'd probably settle for the nitto's or Avid T4's.

I bought a set of 15in Konig Divas and 205/55R15 Goodyear Eagle RHs for $900 from Discount Tire. The ride is a little harsher but the handling and braking have definately improved. The Eagles' treadwear is 420 and it's a T-rated tire. (C'mon now guys, how many of you actually go 130 mph in G20?) I have a 95 G20

I did about the same thing about 2 and a half years ago. I bought a set of 16" konig Monsoons and nitto 555zr tires. 205/45/16. I personally didn't really notice a difference in ride quality, but i did notice a BIG difference in handling and turn in reponse, for the better. 130 in a G20... well, it's not out of the question, it's just difficult to find a track with that long of a straight. But my car has seen over 120 before. At over 5500ft, 3 people in the car, and all our stuff. Including an additional full sized spare (which i always carry on long trips). So, I know 130 isn't out of the question, because even with those factors my car was still VERY eager to keep going. I wouldn't be suprised if someone hit 150 (at Silverstate or some other legal high speed race of course).

U R right, 130 can be done in modified G. I haven't got too many mods on my G(yet) I'm more interested in improving gas mileage and a comfortable ride. My G is for cruisin' not bruisin'.
