Gxe Faster Than Se!!!!

Yup the 96+ GXE's were lighter and faster, infact the '96 is the fastest!!

Check this one out!!

I'll let her go cheap!

1996 Black Beauty Maxima GXE.

5-Speed, 114K mi, K&N type filter, spoiler, white gages, MP3/CD/AM/FM Stereo, New (4) KYB adjustable struts, Strut tower brace, rear sway bar, new Bosch platnium 4's spark plugs (the best), Rear spoiler, Grey cloth interior, 15" alloy with all season radials (70% tread), 17" summer wheels with Kumo tires in pix (60% tread), lug locks, New front and rear brakes, New battery, Always changed oil, Awsome condition, FAST and CLEAN. Blue Book $6450, will sell $6000 (includes 2 sets of wheels).

Issues: Key doesn't open trunk- use latch inside, small paint overspray area from door ding passenger side, exhaust ok now- will need new in about a year, doesnt use oil- tiny oil drip about a drop a week

Runs great, HOT VQ motor w/ 5-sp!!!!

Has clean CARFAX REPORT, can e-mail it to you.

are you serious???
the se's with a spoiler make a better drag co-efficient and the 95 has an obd-1 ecu program.
you must really wanna get rid of that car

The 94's are VG, not VQ to my knowledge, it's because they are castiron block instead of aluminum

gxe is always gonna be the lightest, and therefore the fastest, because of the lack of options(leather, spoiler, 16" rims)I say a 95 gxe auto stock can beat a 95 SE auto stock to the 1/4 by like half a car. not much.

I just thought this might be interesting for you guys with this car:

We can trace back today's Maxima most directly to the third generation Maxima which began to grow in size during the early 90s. Nissan coined it as the "4-door sports car." In 1993, Nissan added a short-run VE30DE engine to SE models good for 190 bhp. In 1995, Nissan introduced a new fourth gen Maxima along with the new 3.0 liter V-6 VQ30DE engine featuring an aluminum head and block along with micro-finished camshafts and molybdenum-coated pistons. Output was rated at 190 bhp with 205 lb-ft of torque. While it looked good on paper, it even felt better when driven. The VQ powered Maxima had amazing smoothness but brutal power when pushed. Quite a few magazines were able to get 5 speed Maximas tested at 0-60 in under 7 seconds.

This was quoted from the very first page of www.freshalloy.com under the 2004 Maxima introduction.
