Skyline vs super cars

Now would the HKS 1600hp skyline be able to beat :

360 Modena (stock)
GT3 (stock)
GT1 (stock )

Drag race?
Track?

i'm not even sure if your being serious about such an obvious question. but i'm goin to answer it anyways.

HKS 1600 hp DRAG skyline runs 8 second 1/4 miles.

all the other italian exotics you listed run's 12's. thats a 4 second difference. can't compare with them on the straight line drag race.

but on the Track. as you can tell a DRAG can only go straight. what happens when you take a drag car to a high speed corner? the car and hte driver will crash and probrably die a horrible death. you can't compare those cars.

anyways, a stock R34 GT-R V-spec II can hang with those exotics at the race track. so why would you even try to bring up a drag car?

I dont think TatII or the other guy knows what a GT1 is...

Porsche GT1...

That's what it looks like...wheels I think are different...but it will own...simply own...a R34 GTR...

ooops never mind. i thought when he said GT1 i thought he meant the 011 turbo. hey its not everyday that you get hear about a GT1

I'm not a fan of comparing a highly modded car (in this case - modded to the max) to a car thats out of the box. The Skyline is a very fast and potent car, but its one ugly mofo IMHO.

the above picture is of a Porsche GT1...road version

This is a GT2...462HP RWD

This is a GT3...375HP NA (sidenote: first 911 GT3 road car available to the US public)

Does anyone have any evidence other than a Best Motoring video that a R34 GT-Rwill beat a 911 Turbo around a track?

well no one said that a stock R34 Vspec II can take a stock 911 turbo. but you would amazed at how close the race is. the only reason why the porsche won is becuase of the straights. on every corner the GT-R had a faster cornering speed, and a quicker corner exit. plus it wasn't a bad driver who was driving the porsche. it was one of the top drivers. it was Kuwasawa ( Gan San ) who drive the porsche.

Normal the porche drives more like a racing car (on a track)and need more control from the driver. In comparison I think it was a british journalist who once said that even the noobiest driver ever would feel like M. Schumarer driving the skyline as the car was so helpfull.

TatII, I think a GT3 would be a better comparison to the R34 Vspec II. The 911 Turbo suppousedly has a significant amount of understeer dialed in to make it an easier drive. The "racier" Porsches would be the GT3 or GT2.

but the GT3 doesn't have as much grunt as the turbo. however, its still damn fast in the straights.

My point was that the GT3 would match or beat the R34 in the curves. It oversteers more than the 911 Turbo and is able to grip more in the corners. It doesn't have AWD. It would be considered the "pure" Porsche.
