Hey guys! I was watching discovery last night and found out from a group of swedish guys, that if you dip your family jewels in 120 degree fahrenheigt water for 40 minutes a day, every day for a couple weeks ( and continue for as long as you so desire no children) then the heat kill's off all the little spermies! And it has no effect on your potency!!

I was thinking the same thing. 40 minutes of putting the jewels in real hot water? I think not!

120 Degrees F is about 49 degrees C. That's about 10 degrees celsius warmer than most spa pools and is on the threshold of scalding.

Even if you did resort to this process - how do you maintain the temperature for the entire 20 minute period. How are you sure that the process works in your particular case? Do a sperm count post procedure?

In any case, the inability to procreate isn't going to protect you from the vast array of sundry bacteria, viruses and other organisms that can infect you as a result of not using some sort of barrier eg a rubber or alternatively abstaining from the act itself (as an alternative).

I think this is along the line of men who wear tight fitting briefs, and clothes that do not breath well, will typically have a lower sperm count in their semem, thus reducing the chance of fertilizing an egg.

Well Oz, it IS an alternative. To be absolutely honest the jury's still out as to whether going through the inconvenience and pain associated with soaking the testicular pouch with scalding water for 20 minutes every day to ensure infertility isn't a better alternative...

I'd rather go without but then I'm still using latex tubes so I don't have to consider either of those options.
