couple q's about my stock 96 gle

k, i've got a couple of questions here, so bear with me...

1) brakes. this is killing me. My brakes have been squealing since i got them replaced last summer (not sure what the pads are). Its not a constant squeal, but only there with medium pressure on the pedal (light and heavy pressure gives me quiet braking). I use my car for general driving, only race some people on the street or on the highway if i'm up to a race, so i need some pads that are more general purpose than race-oriented, but still have excellent stopping power. Are Nissan pads good for that? Any good aftermarket pads i should check out?

2) tires. My front tires are always looking low (they're fairly new michellen mxv4 205/65r15. The back tires are fine. I've seen other cars with these exact tires and they look fine. This is killing me too because my turns have become sorta "skips" (the front end feels like it's skipping around a turn instead of sticking to the road). The pressure on the tires is where they're supposed to be at (last time i checked anyway, but sometimes it blows out way higher than it should be), so i dunno if i should put more air in there or not.

any info would help me out, these things have been killing me for a long time now and i wanna get them taken care of...

Brakes: Depending on your usage, they might be worn. It might also be that your discs are crystalized and they need to be cut. It might also be that you just have some brake dust accumulated on them. Simply by checking these symptoms could solve the problem.

Tires: Maybe you might need to have your wheels balanced. Maybe your suspension is worn out. Could be a number of things. If your tire pressure is correct and it is definitely not a flat, maybe it could be tie rods. Not sure as to the exact thing. As you can see it can be a number of things. Hopefully though, I've given you some form of direction so that you can narrow it down.

pads are fine, i've been checking them. and i clean them, but they get squeaky in about a day, so i've just about given up on that.

you might be right about hte suspension messing with the tires, that might account for the high pressure reading i get from a tire meter.

one other thing, any recs on a battery?

Just go with what is recommended for the car. If you're in the states, go to Sears.

As for the brakes, than maybe it is the discs that are now smooth. If they are, get them cut.
