i dont think so becuase the vtec distrubutor is different then the non vtec one. i dont think the parts will fit on it becase the ears on the distributors dont line up. i recently swaped a d15b in my hatch and wanted to see if i could use the distributor off my old engine and it didnt fit. but i know you could put the head on there but no vtec, and plus where the soleniod go?
and the pressure switch? :silly2: :silly2: :silly2: :silly2: :silly2: |

a DOHC d series head will not fit onto a SOHC d series block without extensive machining.
you cannot make a non vtec engine vtec by adding different cams. you have to have the vtec selenoid and the vtec mechanisms in the head. If you really want to go VTEC, get a d16z6 or d16y8 head and mount it on your block. as far as the distributor goes, you can modify the distributor to fit so you can still adjust ignition timing. |
