I thought this was the TECHNICAL section. One reply?
I have the car back and it is running good. I'm worried that down the road it will start clanging again. (see prior post)
Second Honda dealer to look at it next Tuesday.
Your opinions and comments appreciated.
Also, I thought this forum had some kind of rules on vulgarity.
The F word does not impress me. I'm not saying I don't use it once in a while but it's not what I would think is forum appropriate.
No offense meant and I hope none taken.
I guess maybe I'm just pissed off.

most of this forum is dead, except the 88-91 civic/crx forum, but we accept all questions in there. anyway, if the car had 40k without an oil change, then you prolly have severe engine damage.

VTEC systems do not work without oil, so if your experienceing problems with it, then try just changing the oil.

Well, car seen at 2nd Honda dealer and nothing bad was found.
They did call and talk to lst Honda dealer. 2nd dealer said they could not guarantee that engine would not act up again but if valve was stuck and then became free something should be broken and improperly running. The car runs great with lotsa power.
Went back to dealership-not honda-where purchased and discussed above. They had been in contact with 2nd dealership. They acknowledged that honda had advised that the car was running great now but could not say if it would continue to do so.
Dealership said they would offer 6 mo./ 6k extended warranty.
Asked for more warranty and 12mo/12k was offered.
What do you think?
