Can anyone help me with the window setup on my 98 E36 Coupe.
Mechanically it all seems fine. It seems to try and go up too far, the cog jumps then it will not move at all. By tapping the regulator while clicking the down button, it will get it moving again. It is something to do with the automatic shift up and down when the door is opened/closed I think. I discovered that by removing the lower plug from the motor, then reconecting it when the window is half way down, has the effect of making that position the 'parked' point. So now the window will motor down OK but when driven up, it stops at the half way point. Somebody must have had the same problem. Please help. Last edited by Paul Smith; 01-01-2003 at 06:41 AM. |
