new watch, picture frame, framed cross stitch (that I started years ago and never finished, thanks for finishing it mum), gift voucher for a model shop (diecast R34 GT-R here I come), a DVD, a razor, and some lollies.

Not really much but all I really wanted was the watch

New Phillishave razor with 3 heads and a battery to replace my old dinosour phillishave I got for my bday about 10 or 11 years ago.
Ian Banks latest book. (fucking awsome, I recomend it to everyone here, especialy Yogs.)
And some funny pockets that you can fill with stuff and stick them in the toaster to cook.

A small minimalitic selection of gifts just how I like it.

Most "gift-y" Newton's Cradles totally blow, and are nowhere near being as precisely crafted as they should be to propperly display the effects of his laws. I had one once and one of the 5 balls was a totally differen mass than the rest, and they all got misaligned in the first week I had it!

I got a taste of GTA:VC... and now I want it...

Awsome cameras!
I have an A40, which is the same camera just in a bigger case.
I would get either a Canon, or one of the NEW sonys if you can afford it.
The canon IMO has a better lens, and allows you to alter more of the functions, and make it behave more like a real Camera.
The new Sonys (my father has one) seem to have most of the same functions, but the canon has cheaper memory cards, and uses regular AA batteries so you can carry a spare set with you, and can charge them seperatly from the camera.

But stay away from the Kodaks (to expensive for the limited features).
