E36 v's E46 - is it worth paying extra?

Hi,

I having a dilema, can anyone help?

I'm after an upgrade on my 1993 BMW E36 3 Series and I've been looking at a 1998 E36, however I'm wondering if its worth paying that little extra for a 1999 E46.

Basically is the E46 a considerable improvement on the E36 and what are the improvements? I'm just not sure if its worth paying extra!

Thanks in advance!
