cooling system under boost
Cooling seems to be an issue for turbo setups. FMIs block the flow of air to the radiator. Besides placing the intercooler on the side somewhere, how else can I run a turbo without having my car overheat all the time?

Really? I never noticed it to be that big of a problem. Are you worried about having this problem when you get a FMIc? Or do you have the FMIc and have this problem now? If you're having this prob now, might want to check up on your radiator and cooling system.

Does your friend have a factory bumper with all that extra plastic grill. Air is meant to flow THROUGH the intercooler just like the radiator. My intercooler almost covers the whole front cutout and i have had no temperature difference however when i replaced my factory bumper with an bigmouth, the motor seemed to run a little cooler. A freind of mine has an eclipse rs that he dropped a turbo in and the thing over heats like hell. He has his ic fit tight between the restictive factory bumper and the radiator and a/c cond. not to mention the limited open space in the engine bay.

I think the difference is in the intercooler itself. Of course, most cars these days have automatic fans to pull air throught the radiator to help cool when they reach a certain temp (hot). I have a fairly large and thick FMIC and have ran the car time after time on the track and have never experienced a cooling problem.
On the other side, my buddy runs his DRAG Gen III kit and started overheating, not even running the 1/4 as much as me. Weird, but it could be the design.

Oh, to fit the FMIC on my car, I had to trim the plastic lip on the back of the front bumper cover. Looks stock, but it ain't!!!
