MPG Guage Bounces

Need some serious HELP!

My MPG Guage bounces 3-4MPG to and fro constantly. It's very notisable during light acceleration. It dogg's out.

I replaced the fuel pump and fuel regulator. That wasn't it.
Anyone have any other idea's or tests?
Its real annoying.

Love my 92/325I - 156,000 miles.
